Principles of functioning of control systems of diesel engines
At operation of the diesel engine in its cylinders clean air which is compressed to a high pressure is soaked up. Thus air temperature rises above temperature of ignition of diesel fuel. Fuel is injected into the cylinder with some advancing and самовоспламеняется. Thus, spark plugs for fuel ignition in the diesel engine are not used.
On the cold engine the temperature of the compressed air can not reach value necessary for ignition. In this case additional preliminary warming up is necessary. For this purpose in each cylinder the glow plug which is heating up the chamber of combustion is established. Duration of heating depends on surrounding temperature and is regulated by the control unit of the engine and the relay of preliminary warming up.
Before getting to TNVD fuel it is cleared of pollution and water in the fuel filter. Therefore it is important to delete water from the fuel filter or to replace it according to schedule requirements THAT (see. Head of Control and routine maintenance of the car).
For increase in capacity on some engines the turbo-supercharging is used.
