4.6.4. Replacement of epiploons of a cranked shaft

For removal and installation of epiploons it is recommended to use special adaptations. For access to the forward epiploon established in the bottom cover of a chain of GRM, remove a damper of krutilny fluctuations. Procedure of ensuring access to a back epiploon below is described.


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove RKPP or AT (see. Head Manual box of gear shifting and coupling or Automatic transmission).
  2. Lower impellent oil (see. Head of Control and routine maintenance of the car).
  3. Remove a flywheel (see. Section Removal and flywheel installation).
  4. Turn out bolts of fastening of the pallet of a case from transmission (see an illustration).
  5. Weaken bolts of fastening of the top section of the pallet of a case (see. Section Removal and installation of the top section of the pallet of a case).
  1. Turn out bolts of fastening of a cover of a back epiploon of a cranked shaft.
  1. Carefully disconnect laying of the pallet of a case from a cover of a back epiploon and uncover.

After removal of a cover of a back epiploon it is necessary to check a condition of laying of the pallet of a case. If necessary remove the pallet of a case and replace laying (see. Section Removal and installation of the top section of the pallet of a case).

  1. Since 04.1998 g serially and at replacement the epiploon of new type (without a spiral twisted spring dilator) is used. This epiploon should be stored only with the special plug. If the epiploon was stored without the plug more long than six months do not use it.

In new execution the working edge of an epiploon is very sensitive, and it by no means cannot be bent. Do not touch a working edge hands.

  1. The cover of a back epiploon is delivered complete with an epiploon. If necessary take an old epiploon from a cover and press a new epiploon.
  2. Replace sealing laying of a cover of a back epiploon. On angular joints of the plane of a cover with an oil case evenly apply a thin film Drei Bond 1209 hermetic.
  3. Oil a landing surface of a cranked shaft, put on a cover of a back epiploon of a cranked shaft, avoiding a distortion, and tighten all bolts of fastening of a cover of an epiploon.
  4. Further installation is made as it should be, the return sequence of dismantle of components.
