12.5.7. Removal and installation of the steering mechanism with GUR

At replacement of the steering mechanism it is necessary to check height of installation of the pendular lever in relation to a steering shaft. The reuse of the lowered GUR liquid is not allowed.


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove a steering wheel (see. Section Removal and installation of a steering wheel, block of a safety cushion and its contact ring).
  2. Remove protection of a case of the engine and the thermofilter.
  1. Disconnect GUR lines and muffle open openings protective caps.

At installation use new sealing rings (D). On models with the M52 engine the pipeline should settle down at distance of 8 ÷ 10 mm from the steering mechanism, – check availability of other knots.


  1. Give a nut and disconnect cross-section steering draft from a steering soshka by means of a stripper No. 32 1 190.

At installation on landing cones there should not be greasing traces. Replace самоконтрящуюся a nut.

  1. On models, except models with the M52 engine, remove a steering soshka (see. Section Removal and installation of steering drafts, soshka and pendular lever).
  1. Turn out a bolt and disconnect the kardanny hinge of the bottom section of a steering shaft from the steering mechanism.

At installation the bolt should enter into a nest of a steering shaft, and a label on the mechanism and on a shaft should coincide.

  1. Disconnect the steering mechanism from a beam of the forward bridge.

At installation fix the steering mechanism on a beam of the forward bridge at first by hand a bolt (1), and then tighten consistently with demanded effort bolts (2) and (1). Use new самоконтрящиеся nuts.

  1. Installation is made upside-down.
